James – Nursery Manager
James is the Manager at Ladybird Nursery and brings with him over 23 years of dedicated experience working with children aged 3 months to 5 years. Throughout his career, James has developed a deep understanding of early childhood development and is passionate about creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
He holds an NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in Early Years Education and Leadership & Management, and is currently furthering his professional development by studying for a Level 5 qualification in Early Years Studies. His commitment to ongoing learning reflects his drive to provide the very best care and education for children, as well as to lead and inspire his team.
James has worked in a variety of early years settings over the years, gaining valuable hands-on experience in child-led learning, safeguarding, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), and fostering strong partnerships with parents. As a leader, he promotes a supportive and collaborative team culture where staff are empowered and motivated to deliver outstanding care.
As both a childcare professional and a father, James brings a warm, empathetic perspective to his role. He understands the trust parents place in early years settings and strives to create an environment that feels like a home away from home. His calm, approachable nature and genuine love for working with children help them feel secure and valued from day one.

Ruth – Senior early years educator and Deputy Manager
Ruth joined our team in December 2022 and has been a wonderful addition ever since. With over 28 years of experience in childcare and as a proud mother of five, she brings not only a wealth of knowledge but also a nurturing, down-to-earth approach that children and families quickly warm to. Ruth holds a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare Studies and has a deep passion for helping little ones grow and thrive.

Vincy – Senior early years educator and Pre-School Room Leader
Vincy has loved working with children since she was young, beginning by helping to look after her cousins. She embraces each day in the classroom as a new adventure filled with unique challenges, treasuring every moment of the journey. Vincy joined Ladybird in 2021

Karen -Senior Early years educator, Babies Deputy Room Leader
Karen has been working in childcare since the age of 14, building a wealth of experience across a variety of early years settings. Over the years, she has taken on numerous roles. Karen joined Ladybird Nursery in 2020 and has since become a valued member of the team. She holds an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and is passionate about creating nurturing, engaging environments where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. Known for her calm, caring nature and her ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and families, Karen plays an integral role in supporting each child’s individual needs and progress.

Monika – Early years educator
Monika is a valued member of the Ladybird Nursery team, known for her kindness and dedication. She enjoys creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where children feel safe and encouraged to explore and learn. Monika appreciates being part of a close-knit, supportive environment where colleagues and management work together to provide the best care and education. Monika joined Ladybird in 2022 and has over 9 years of experience and also has 2 children of her own.
Her commitment to the team and the children helps make Ladybird a nurturing place for everyone involved.

Lauren – Early years educator
Lauren is a dedicated member of the Ladybird Nursery team who brings warmth, and a deep understanding of each child’s individuality to her role. She has a strong passion for early years education and is committed to helping children thrive through nurturing care and playful learning. Lauren has been part of the Ladybird team since 2021
“I enjoy working with the children as every child is unique in their own way and has different personalities. I enjoy seeing children grow in confidence and reaching their developmental milestones, which enables them to flourish and reach their full potential. My favourite thing about working with children is seeing how happy and smiley they are when they arrive at nursery in the morning. Knowing that they are happy and feel safe in our care makes me happy. What I like about working at Ladybird is how inclusive they are with their staff. I have a disability, but this does not stop me—it has made me more determined to do well in life, and I really value how all the staff are so supportive of one another.”
Charlie – Early years practitioner
Charlie is a passionate early years practitioner who takes great pride in supporting children’s growth and development from infancy through to the preschool years. He enjoys the variety and energy that working with young children brings, finding that no two days are ever the same and that children’s curiosity and surprises make every moment rewarding. Charlie started as agency and enjoyed Ladybird so much he decided to stay with Ladybird since 2023.

My favourite thing about working with children is that there is never a dull moment, and they are always full of surprises. I like that Ladybird offers a range of support to parents and carers as well as staff. Further qualifications are available, as well as different ways of learning for the children, such as forest school.”
Sophia – Early years practitioner
Sophia is a dedicated early years practitioner who thrives in the dynamic and ever-changing environment of childcare. She enjoys the fact that no two days are ever the same, and embraces the unique challenges each day brings with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Known for her calm and caring manner, Sophia creates a reassuring and supportive space for the children in her care. Sophia has been with Ladybird since 2024 and is undertaking an apprenticeship at ladybird working towards her NVQ level 3 in childcare.

Eve – Early years practitioner
Eve has always had a passion for working with children. Her journey began at a gymnastics centre, where she discovered the joy of helping children learn new skills and build confidence. That experience inspired her to explore more one-on-one interactions, supporting each child’s individual growth and development.

What really made my decision easy was how quickly I built genuine connections with both the children and the team on my very first day. Tracey – Lunch Support
Tracey provides valuable support during the lunchtime period, helping to cover staff breaks and ensuring a smooth, caring environment for the children.
