Buttercups offers a home from home environment and welcomes children from three months to around two years. Our baby room is set over two interconnecting, large open plan rooms, one side focusing on the younger babies and the other side for our toddlers. We have a separate adjoined sleep room for the children with cots for each child enabling us to follow their home routine and giving them the opportunity to sleep soundly away from other exploring children when needed.
Buttercups have their own garden space and the babies/toddlers have daily access to our outdoor provision where they can further explore, experiment and play. The babies and toddlers have the opportunity to engage in lots of play and various activities that will encourage their all-round development, with emphasis being placed on the three prime areas of learning. These are; Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional development and Physical Development. Our fantastic team enhance and extend the children’s learning through meaning interaction and provide lots of opportunities based around the children’s current interests.
Children have the opportunity to take part in Molly Moo Cow sessions when Molly and Kate come to visit twice a week. To find out more about Molly Moo Cow please visit http://www.mollymoocow.
Meal times can be flexible for our youngest babies, when they are ready, we make meal times a social event where our babies can begin to eat together. We can undertake meal times with as much or as little support as you are looking for I.E with baby led weaning. Children are offered a morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and tea, please see our menu and nutrition page for more information.
As your little one grows with us, we support them with their transitions to our Bluebells room as they become developmentally ready for their next adventure.
